Our role is to protect the public's health and our environment by collecting, transporting, recycling, and treating wastewater in a safe, reliable, efficient, and responsible manner.
The Wastewater Division strives to evaluate and upgrade our current wastewater system and implement the safest and most cost-effective means of wastewater collection and treatment, while also satisfying the needs of the community.

Wastewater Treatment
The Town of Camp Verde operates and maintains one extended aeration, Aero-Mod-style, wastewater treatment plant, located at 880 S. Cowboy Trail in Camp Verde. Since November 22, 2021, we have been providing Class A+ Effluent Water using cloth filters and a robust UV system for polishing, with a backup chlorine contact chamber.
Collection System
The Wastewater Division operates and maintains 24 miles of publicly owned sewer mains. The system includes two lift stations and 526 manholes. Our system processes over 88.3 million Gallons of sewage annually and our crew removes 112.22 tons of BOD and 16.59 tons of Ammonia from the sewage on an annual basis. Town crews are also responsible for spraying manholes for roaches, unplugging sewer main stoppages, and cleaning or inspecting sewer mains.
The Town does not maintain the customer’s sewer lateral. The customer is responsible for the lateral up to the main and including the tap. Any problems on the customer’s side should be handled by a licensed contractor or plumber.
