The Town of Camp Verde has conducted its first comprehensive update to the Planning and Zoning Ordinance since its initial incorporation in 1986. Initial project goals included making the regulations easier to read and more efficient to use, removing conflicting provisions, and incorporating goals identified by the 2004 General Plan. Given the breadth of the zoning regulations, the comprehensive update process extended over more than one year.
As a result of the update process, and after many reviews by the public, Planning & Zoning Commission and Town Council, the Camp Verde Town Council adopted the Planning & Zoning Ordinance on May 25, 2011. The Ordinance will go into effect on June 25, 2011.
