Construction or work for which a permit is required shall be subject to inspection by the Building Official or designated individual and such construction or work shall remain accessible and exposed for inspection purposes until approved. Neither the Building Official, designated individual nor the jurisdiction shall be liable for expense entailed in the removal or replacement of any material required to allow inspection.
It shall be the duty of the permit holder to provide an approved property address, including number and street name at all construction sites. Such temporary premises identification shall be clearly visible from the street or roadway fronting the property, shall be installed prior to the first inspection, and shall be maintained until the permanent premises identification is installed and approved.
Work requiring a permit shall not commence until the permit holder or an agent of the permit holder has posted or otherwise made available the inspection record card to allow the Building Official or authorized agent to conveniently make the required entries thereon regarding inspections of the work. The permit holder shall maintain the card available until final approval, by the Building Official, has been granted. Town Code Chapter 7, Article 7-2, Section 7-2-106 outlines required inspections, although additional inspections may be required at the discretion of the Building Official.
