Streets Division

The Governor’s Office of Energy Policy has awarded  The Town of Camp Verde an Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant in the amount of  $14,238. The grant funds will be used to retrofit the Main Street Lights with energy efficient induction lighting. The project is scheduled to begin January29, 2013. The project should take seven to ten working days. Please watch traffic for crews working in the Main Street Right-of-Way.

Mission Statement

The Town of Camp Verde’s Streets Department’s mission is to provide and maintain, within the Town’s available resources, adequate and safe transportation, infrastructure, effective street maintenance and promotion of safety.

 

Responsibilities

The Streets Division maintains over 110 miles of paved roads and 20 miles of bladed roadway for the Town of Camp Verde.  Maintenance activities include crack seal, chip seal, patching and asphalt overlays, patching on paved roads and regular blading of dirt roads.

The Crew also performs drainage work, culvert cleaning, traffic signs, weed mowing/abatement, trimming of trees and vegetation in the right-of-ways.  The Town has a maintenance agreement with Arizona Public Service for the inspection/repair of Street Lights. Two traffic signals owned by Camp Verde are inspected and serviced through an annual contract, currently up for renewal.

Our office is open Monday – Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
