The Town of Camp Verde Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to providing quality recreational, educational, cultural, fitness, social and environmental opportunities that meets the diverse needs of our community.
The Parks & Recreation Department strives to provide fun, safe and affordable recreational programs and event opportunities to promote healthy lifestyles for all in our community.
The Department maintains and operates five public parks and a community center for our community and visitors to enjoy. Each park is equipped with BBQ grills and picnic areas that are wonderful for family outings. If you would like to reserve a park or community center facility, please visit the Parks & Recreation office to check availability or view the online calendars for each facility on the Facility Reservations and Rentals page.

Summer Reading Program BIG SHOW!
Juggler Extraordinaire – James Reid. Come to this FREE all ages show on TUESDAY JUNE 4 at 10:00AM at the Community Center Gym. Enjoy a dazzling variety of juggling objects – maybe you can juggle too! A presentation of the Camp Verde Community Library and Parks & Recreation. No reservations required, just show up and have fun!
Summer Field Trips w/ Parks & Rec!
Thursdays starting June 20. Ride with Parks & Rec on exciting science adventures, wild animal visits, giant water parks & Arizona history exploration. Trips leave from the Community Center Gym. Some trips need Chaperones – come along with your son or daughter to enjoy the trip and help with the kids. You may be able to come along for free or reduced fare as a chaperone.
JUNE 20 PHOENIX ZOO $22 See Lions & Tigers & Bears, Oh my! Depart 8:00 am and return at 3:00pm. Bring a bag lunch.
JUNE 27 CHALLENGER SPACE CENTER $22 A guided Space FUNdamentals experience . Depart 8:00 am and return 3:00pm. Bring a bag lunch.
JULY 11 WET ‘N WILD WATER PARK $32 Over 30 exhilarating slides and attractions at Arizona’s biggest ‘n’ best water park. depart at 8:00 am and return at 3:30pm. Bring a bag lunch or arrange to buy one in advance at the Park.
JULY 18 PHOENIX CHILDREN’S MUSEUM $22 Beat the heat at one of the country’s best children’s museums! Designed for kids birth to 10 years old. Bring a bag lunch. This trip needs chaperones.
JULY 25 SHARLOT HALL MUSEUM $12 Cool off in the high country and learn about Arizona pioneer settlers. Visit the first Territorial Capitol of Arizona! This trip needs chaperones. Depart at 9:45am and return at 2:00pm

FIT KIDS TENNIS
Learn tennis with a certified tennis teaching pro! In conjunction with the United States Tennis Association, Jeff Cooper will be teaching tennis on Tuesday & Thursday nights at the newly renovated tennis court at Butler Park! Sign up for 9 weeks of classes starting June 4 thru August 1. Cost is $126 for 18 sessions over 9 weeks.
Ages 11 and up: 5:00 – 6:00 PM
Ages 9-10: 6:00 – 7:00 PM
Ages 7-8: 7:00 – 8:00 PM

Zumba Gold – Tuesdays & Thursdays – 8:30 – 9:15 – Community Center Gym -Latin inspired dance fitness party for active older adults. First class is free. $5 per class – discounts for multiple sessions.

DIAMONDBACKS BUS TRIP! Sunday – June 9. Ride in relaxed comfort to see the Diamondbacks play the Giants for only $44. Bus leaves the Community Center Gym at 10:15 am. Acoustic Jam – Thursday Nights - 6-9 pm. Stop in and hear local musicians play an eclectic mix – country, folk, gospel, bluegrass & more! Bring your acoustic instrument & join in. No alcohol allowed but bring a soda and a snack and enjoy the night. Held in Room 204, just off the Town Hall parking lot and behind the Historical Society Museum.
